MC - 2026 Winter Psychology of Women (PSYC-3365-01, WOMS-3365-01)

A course in applied ethics that explores the bearing of ethical theory on business-related issues, including advertising, consumer rights, managerial structures, discrimination in the workplace, and corporate responsibility. Casework helps the student to develop skills in decision-making.
This course is a critical evaluation of the current social and political issues in sexuality studies, with a focus on contemporary issues around sexualities, including formation of sexual identities, communities, sexual practices and politics, sexualities and social control, questions of diversity, and the historical nature of ideas and controversies around sexualities. This iteration of Sex & Sexualities engages students in scholarly exchange regarding social and political issues in the sociology of sexuality. It explores the social construction of sexual identity, the sex wars, and reproductive rights. Students examine some of the debates ongoing in queer and feminist activist and academic contexts over several decades, with a focus on the late 1970s to early 1990s.
An examination of the strategic management of organizations, including the formulation of long-term strategic implementation. This course provides students with an understanding of the approaches and tools for planning and controlling strategy as well as experience in case analysis.
The Education as Meditative Inquiry course involves holistic, investigative engagement, deepening our awareness of ourselves, our relationships, and the world. In this course, through a study of thought-provoking course materials and participation in dialogues, reflection, and relaxation activities, students will explore ways in which meditative inquiry can inform teaching, learning, and their lives.
Literacy Learning II

A continuation of GLIT 6727. This course examines how teachers’ beliefs about language, learning, and what it means to be literate shape curricula and pedagogies for literacy learning.

In this course, you will study the industrial (labour) relations context. You will learn about the labour relations system in Canada, examine the relevant theory on the industrial relations system model, historical and structural situation of Canadian labour, and explore the collective bargaining, administration, and dispute resolution process.
